Caithness funds to benefit local projects
A total of 11 Caithness community projects are to benefit, or have benefitted, from the support of council funds.
Just over £10,000 is to be distributed to the array of local groups, with funds coming from ward discretionary funding.
All council wards receive a discretionary budget, with ward councillors deciding what to fund from this.
Chairman of the Caithness committee, Councillor Andrew Jarvie, said: “It is always a privilege and a pleasure for ward councillors to make discretionary budget awards.
“One of the most rewarding aspects is that it allows members to utilise their local knowledge and work with local organisations to make positive improvements to our communities.”
