THURSO-based Cyber Security Scotland is a finalist in two categories of the Highland Business Awards – Most Promising New Business and Caithness and Sutherland Business of the Year.
Founder and executive chair Dr Keith Nicholson said: “Given the range of excellent businesses in the Highlands it is an honour to be a finalist in these awards.
"It is a great accolade for our organisation and testimony to the hard work of the team over the past year."
Cyber Security Scotland was founded by Dr Nicholson to provide independent advice and guidance on cyber security across all sectors to combat the confusion and disinformation in the marketplace and help organisations become an intelligent client. Based in Thurso, Cyber Security Scotland also has an office in Edinburgh.
"The cyber security model we developed for the Scottish Government has been issued to over 120 organisations and feedback has been 100 per cent positive," he said. "To now be a finalist in these prestigious awards is further recognition of our work and achievements and this gives us great pride and satisfaction.”
Dr Nicholson has over 25 years' experience in the field of secure digital technologies. His expertise is recognised by frequent invitations to speak at conferences, by the Institute of Directors as a recognised trainer and by his membership of the National Cyber Resilience Leaders Board.
