Brandon, who is 24 and comes from Castletown, is delighted with his success as he has not had a track in the charts for four weeks before.

The single, written by Randy Travis and Paul Overstreet – How do I wrap my heart up for Christmas? – has soared to success after gaining increased radio airplay.

OZCMR is an internet country music station with an emphasis on playing independent country music recordings by artists from Australia as well as overseas.

Brandon is a Scottish accordion champion and multi-award-winning singer who has been performing since the age of 10.

He has also recently participated in a track with Larissa Tormey and Dave Sherriff, whose song, Red Hot Salsa, featured in T2 Trainspotting. It reached the number three spot in the Ireland country music airplay charts.

Brandon McPhee and his band, along with guests, will perform a live stream Christmas concert on Sunday, December 20 at 8pm.

This show will be around one-and-a-half hours of mainly Christmas music in a country fashion with some traditional Scottish accordion playing, plus a few hidden surprises.

He will also be playing at an online Hogmanay concert on Thursday, December 31, from 11pm to 12.30am. Among the special guests will be the Addie Harper Band and the North Coast Fiddlers.
