Boost is a partnership programme between the STV Children’s Appeal, Comic Relief, Foundation Scotland, Corra and supported by players of People’s Postcode Lottery.

A total of £750,000 is available until March 2026.

Carolyn Sawers, chief executive of Corra, said: “Small, accessible grants are so important to community groups.

“The Boost Fund has quick turnarounds on funding decisions and offers funding to more informal groups.

“It’s about boosting community-led efforts, ensuring that people with ideas for positive change are supported to take them into action.

“I’m so pleased that, thanks to new support from Foundation Scotland and players of People’s Postcode Lottery, that Boost can reopen even bigger and bolder than before.”

Giles Ruck, chief executive of Foundation Scotland, said: “As Scotland's Community Foundation, it is our job to walk alongside and respond to communities, channelling funds where they are most needed.

“We know that community-led support is central to helping children and families facing poverty and its impacts, and this is why we are supporting the Boost Fund.

“Corra is a long-standing and respected partner of Foundation Scotland, and it has been our privilege to contribute to this programme.”

Laura Chow, head of charities at People’s Postcode Lottery, said: "Community organisations are often the first to step up and support people facing real challenges.

“Players of People's Postcode Lottery can, through the Boost Fund, help such local groups deliver support to communities across Scotland.

“With more backing and ambition, we look forward to seeing the impact of the fund in neighbourhoods across the country."

For groups interested in applying grants of £500 to £3000 are available to constituted groups and charities with an annual income of £50,000 or less.

Unconstituted/small groups providing local community activities but without a written constitution can apply for up to £1500.

Interested applicants should visit the Corra Foundation website for more information.
