A "CELTIC daft" mum in Thurso received a special gift from her neighbours in recognition of the selfless work has done to raise smiles in her area throughout the lockdown.

Fiona Ross dresses up and delivers sweets and heartfelt treats for Pennyland residents and their kids.

Thurso-based estate agent Yvonne Fitzgerald got together with Ian Horne of Whisky on Tour to give Fiona a Celtic-themed clock as a way of saying thanks.

Yvonne said: "I have known Fiona since primary school as she was in my class. Every week she has been out on a Thursday night, dressed up, delivering sweeties to children in the neighbourhood.

"It has certainly given both me and Ian a good laugh as well as the residents in the Pennyland area of Thurso."

Fiona, who works at Thurso Co-op, has dressed up as the Easter Bunny, Freddie Mercury, as a Viking and sometimes in the green-and-white colours of the football team she idolises.
