This year’s Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival theme is love, so to get into the spirit of romance, organisers are looking for applicants for its very own version of Blind Date.

“Meeting during a game show at a festival is a far more romantic love story than meeting on a dating app,” said a festival spokesman.

Applicants are to send in a video of themselves telling us their name, age and their ideal partner to the email: readers@hnmedia.co.uk.

We will try to find the best matches and those lucky enough to be selected will take part in the live Blind Date at 4pm on July 26 at the Venus Flytrap Big Top at the festival. The event will be just like the beloved show, with one contestant choosing who to take out by asking questions to the three contenders they won’t be able to see.

Drag queen Venus Guytrap will be hosting the show as Cilla Black, and legendary local DJ Tich McCooey will be ‘Our Graham’ reminding us about the contestants.

Applications are open to single people aged 18 and over, closing on July 12.

The festival - headlined by Deacon Blue, the Sugababes and James Arthur runs from July 25-27.
