THE stage times for Wick’s very own music festival – B-fest – have been revealed.

Work has been underway at the Riverside this week to prepare for the two day extravaganza which kicks off tonight for the first ever Friday night opening of the most northerly mainstream music festival.

Tonight the music starts at 6.30pm and features eight local bands and Scottish rap rock outfit the La Fontaines in a headline appearance.

Tomorrow, the full site opens at mid-day when Bassment kick off the main stage closely followed by Make Sparks 45 minutes later on the second stage.

A new family-friendly area and a signing tent where the fans can catch a word with their favourite acts and get an autograph or two add to the all-ages feel of the festival this year.

Add to this the fairground rides and probably the best stocked bar you are likely to see at any Scottish festival – it is sure to be one of the highlights of the small festival circuit again this year.
