POLICE in Wick are appealing for information about two attempted thefts of cars in the town

Incidents occurred on Murchison Street and Harrow Hill around 11pm on Sunday, May 24.

Entry was gained to both cars and there are signs that both were tampered with.

However, efforts to move the vehicles were unsuccessful.

Sergeant Alastair Bryce of Wick Police Station said: "We are carrying out enquiries into these incidents, which we are treating as linked.

"We would urge anyone with information or who may have seen any suspicious activity to come forward.

"We would also encourage people to make sure that their vehicles are securely locked when unattended."

Anyone with information can contact police on 101, quoting incident NJ881/20, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
