A99 near Latheron closed in both directions following collision

The A99 at Latheron has been closed in both directions following a road traffic incident.

The collision, which is said to be “blocking the carriageway” north of Latheron, has caused the road’s closure in both directions.

It was reported by Traffic Scotland at 3.08pm on Tuesday.

Road users have been advised to use an alternative route and expect longer than normal travel times.

Traffic Scotland said: “Reports of a collision on the #A99 at Latheron that's currently blocking the carriageway. Police are now on scene... traffic still very slow in the area.

“Please take care.”

Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
