ABERNETHY - Peacefully, at Pulteney House, Wick, on Friday, 26th June, 2020, James Allan aged 100 years. Allan came to Wick in 1951 where he had a long career teaching PE in local primary schools and in Wick High School. He was a keen member of Wick Golf Club, Caithness Field Club and Scout Leader. He enthusiastically embraced all things Wick and had many dear colleagues and friends. Allan will be greatly missed by his family and friends. STEWART - Dr Robert (Bert) Stewart OBE, TD, formerly of Bexley Terrace, Wick, passed away peacefully at his home in Kent on 29th May, 2020, aged 92 years. Bert was a dear father, grandfather and great-grandfather, the son of Catherine and Daniel Stewart and brother to Don, former chairman of Wick Harbour Trust. His funeral has taken place at Charing Crematorium and contributions will go to Wick RNLI. He will be greatly missed.
