Caithness show no signs of being 'stagnant' in title challenge

CAITHNESS continued their title charge with a bonus point victory at Grangemouth to stay top of BT Caledonia One.

Rhys Taylor, Evan Sutherland, Roddy Gray and Hamish Coghill all scored tries to ensure the Greens picked up all five points with Marc Anderson scoring three conversions and one penalty.

Caithness are five points ahead of second and third place with title challengers Alloa winning 43-12 over Harris FP in Dundee while Strathmore cruised to a 65-10 victory over bottom of the table Banff.

Glenrothes kept their title challenge alive beating Aberdeen Wanderers 41-10 to stay fourth but are nine points behind Caithness.

Caithness will not play in the league again until December but will face Harris FP in Thurso in the Caledonian Shield quarter final on Saturday, November 4.
