Traffic lights in High Street have been reconfigured while footpaths have been lowered near the corner of the road to enable the lorries to mount the pavement.
Work has also been carried out to the A99 at Reiss to make it easier for the lorries to negotiate the turn-off towards John O’Groats.
The first consignment of the turbine equipment has arrived at Wick harbour and some of the components were transported to Stroupster today. Further deliveries are due later this month.
