A THURSO man is leading a campaign to solve a long-running issue with flooding in his housing estate.
Paul Cannop (40) who lives in Angus Court in the Springpark scheme had already reported the issue to the council in October 2017 but feels “frustrated” that he is not being taken seriously.
He said: "The council should improve the drainage to cope with the heavy over-spillage of water. I even phoned the fire brigade to see if they could do something.
“I feel the council is just not listening to me or taking me seriously.”
One resident has even had to resort to digging a trench to try and stem cascading down through through his garden.
A council spokeswoman said a housing officer is looking into the matter.
