POLICE are carrying out investigations into how two fires broke out at a derelict building in the space of 14 hours at a Wick street.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) reported fire crews were called out to two fires at a derelict buliding at Grant Street on Saturday night and Sunday morning.
Police have cordoned off the area and have an officer presence at the scene while investigations are being carried out.
Two fire crews from Wick were called at 7.57pm on Saturday night where firefighters used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze.
SFRS reported the fire broke out within the roof space of the building but there are no causalties.
A second fire was reported at the building at 9.32am on Sunday morning in the roof area where one hose reel jet was used to extinguish it.
SFRS also reported an internal wall was pulled down.
