Electricity cable stolen from wind farm

ELECTRICITY cable worth almost £3000 has been stolen from a wind farm site in North Sutherland as police have put out an appeal for information.

The incident was reported to have taken place at the Scottish and Southern Energy Windfarm site at Bettyhill on Wednesday between 10am and 2pm on Wednesday, March 5.

Six large drums containing electricity cable worth £2800 were reported as being stolen, the drums are wooden with “TF KABLE” tag stapled to the side and the cabling contains copper.
