Erridge helps Caithness to victory on football pitch… the day after rugby triumph

Captain fantastic Carly Erridge scored and produced a player-of-the-match display as Caithness Ladies Football Club won 3-0 at Nairn on Sunday – the day after helping the women’s rugby team, the Krakens, secure the National Plate in Edinburgh.

Kerrie Martin and Sarah Henderson were also on target as Caithness got back to winning ways in the SWF Highlands and Islands League and moved up to fourth in the table.

Some 24 hours earlier, Erridge had played a key role in the Krakens’ 47-27 triumph against Uddingston Selkies at Murrayfield Hive on Scottish Rugby’s end-of-season Silver Saturday.

Caithness Ladies’ next fixture is at home to Buckie on Sunday, May 12.

Ross County remain three points clear at the top of the table after a one-sided 10-0 victory over Ross and Cromarty. Second-placed Buckie also had a convincing win, 8-1 against Clachnacuddin.
