The talented actors from Wick Players gathered together to celebrate National Drama Day.

As an amateur dramatics club, Wick Players is a member of the Scottish Community Drama Association (SCDA), which hosts Scotland's annual one-act play festival. The SCDA has been looking at ways to commemorate National Drama Day this year.

As part of the proceedings to celebrate the occasion, SCDA clubs were asked to participate by taking a photo of club members together.

On April 8, some of the club's most active members came together for a small social gathering to snap a photo which can be used as part of SCDA's effort to showcase the national interest in drama.

A Players spokesperson said: “Of course, no gathering of a drama club would be complete without a play reading, which Derek Douglas managed to rope some of the committee members into!”
