A FORMER Wick High pupil has just been appointed as professor of animal science at an English academic institute.

Liam Sinclair, formerly of Lhaid Farm, Watten, joined Harper Adams University College in Shropshire as a lecturer in 1992. His research interests are in improving the nutritive value of meat and milk; forage management; and mineral metabolism in dairy cows. After attending Watten Primary and Wick High, Liam went on to study agriculture at Aberdeen University where he was awarded a first-class honours degree in animal science. He subsequently studied for a PhD in ruminant nutrition at Nottingham University before joining Harper Adams. The son of William and Margaret Sinclair, Liam is married with two children. |
