I AM seeking information on my ancestors from Wick. I believe they were boat builders and fishermen by trade.

My two great-grandparents were William Thomson and Christina (Stephens) William. William was presumed drowned at sea, but I have been unable to find any information on this. He appeared on the 1841 census but not 1851. Christina died on September 4th, 1876, Laurel Bank, Wick.

Their son Robert (b. about 1836) was my great-grandfather and he married Helen Campbell (b. about 1845) in December 1869. Their son Robert was my grandfather and came to New Zealand. Helen's parents were John Campbell and Elizabeth Brims (b. about 1824).

They had quite large families and any information would be gratefully received.
