WICK Players have donated the £1080 proceeds of the raffle held during their pantomime performances in December to four local groups.

The recipients of the £270 cheques were The Haven, run by Caithness Mental Health Support Group; Wick Boys' Brigade; Wick Sea Cadets; and the Women's Aid group.

Our picture above shows the Wick Players' treasurer, Marney Brims (left), presenting The Haven cheque to support workers Aileen Begg and Angela Edwards, while the Players' chairwoman Jenny Szyfelbain (right) hands over the Boys' Brigade cheque to Captain Marc MacDonald along with members Iain Fishenden and Kieran Mackenzie (right).

There were no representatives present from the Wick Sea Cadets or Women's Aid so their cheques are displayed by some of the younger members of the cast and chorus – (from left) Steven Szyfelbain, Hannah Tait, Melissa MacGregor, Jade Murray, Ashlyn Hutchison, Craig Manson, Maura Szyfelbain, Kiya Sutherland and Andrea McPhee.
