Although new to her Mey Selections role, Alison is no stranger to farmers in Caithness and Sutherland, having previously worked at the SEERAD (Scottish Executive Environment and Rural Affairs Department) office in Thurso. She has nearly 15 years' experience of the agriculture industry.

George Cormack, marketing manager for the company, welcomed Sutherland-born Alison to the Mey Selections team and said: "Alison brings with her a wealth of experience which will prove invaluable as we continue to develop our livestock procurement strategy – so necessary as we rise to the challenges ahead."

Alison said: "I am excited by the prospect of working with the fastest-growing food-and-drink company in Scotland and believe I can really make a difference.

Looking forward to her role as Mey Selections procurement officer is Alison Murray, alongside marketing manager George Cormack.

"I look forward to meeting and liaising with farmers supplying Mey Selections and persuading more farmers to work with us in securing a premium for their livestock."
