THURSO driver James Brims, in his Autoparts-sponsored 2.8 Pilbeam racing car, recorded the fastest time in the Caithness Car Club sprint at Littleferry, Golspie, on April 8. The event was sponsored by Autoparts of Thurso.

Largest entry of the day was in the "road cars over 1800cc" class, in which 13 cars competed, while a new class record was set in the "sports libre cars over 1800cc" section by Invergordon's Stanley Finlayson.
