Craig Alexander McLeod graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University having read BSc (honours) in Computing Science and Software Design. Craig is the son of Garry and Margaret McLeod, formerly of Wick and now of Bishopbriggs, Glasgow, and the grandson of Sandy and Claire McLeod, of Coach Road, Wick.

Ewan MacAngus graduated from The Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, with a masters degree in Project Management. Ewan, of Stonehaven, is a former pupil of Hillhead Primary and Wick High School. He is the son of the late Alexander and Marion MacAngus, Macleod Road, Wick.

Douglas Norman MacLean graduated Bachelor of Science in Architectural Technology from Edinburgh's Napier University. Douglas is the youngest son of Norman and Catherine MacLean, of Plantation Road, Stornoway, and a grandson of the late George and Barbara Crawford, Hempriggs Lodge, Wick.

John David Mackay graduated from Heriot-Watt University with a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering. He formerly attended Pulteneytown Academy and Wick High School. In September he joins Subsea 7 in Aberdeen on a graduate chartered programme. John David is the son of John and Elizabeth Mackay, of "Balcraggie", West Banks Avenue, Wick, and the grandson of Sheila Leith.

Lee Mackay, Melvich, graduated from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, with a MSc in Chemical Engineering with Oil and Gas Technology. Lee, a former pupil of Melvich Primary and Farr High School, is the son of Cathel and Lynda Mackay and grandson of David and Lal O'Brien and Netta Mackay. In September, Lee begins his career with BP Plc in London as a process engineer.

Michelle Mackinnon, of Thurso, graduated from the GCNS, faculty of Social Science, with a grade 'A' for her HNC in Social Care. Michelle, the daughter of Anne Mackinnon and the granddaughter of Cissie and the late Roddy Mackinnon, previously gained the Health and Social Care award level three Caring for Children and Young People whilst working for the Highland Council. Michelle is now in Spain where she has secured a post within the British School of Madrid.

He served his apprenticeship with Rolls-Royce at Vulcan, where he was employed until September when he left to spend a year in Australia. Mairiead MacLennan gained a PhD (Medical Microbiology) from the University of Aberdeen while her son Kenneth (26) was awarded a BSc in Sports and Exercise Science. The family, who now live in Daviot, moved to Caithness in 1985 and settled in Watten, where Mairiead's parents still live. The family moved to Daviot when Mairiead was promoted to run the SAC Veterinary Services laboratory services in Aberdeen in 1993. The couple have a daughter Siobhan. Kenneth was educated at Halkirk Primary School and, for two years, at Thurso High School. He is now working in, and studying, horticulture.
