Fiona Kennedy graduated from the University of Glasgow with a MSc (Hons) (2:1) in Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry. Fiona is the elder daughter of Alex and Margaret Kennedy, Linlithgow, and granddaughter of the late James and Joan Budge, Rockhill Farm, Wick. She is now employed with Reckitt Benckiser in Hull.

Aimee Linekar graduated from the University of St Andrews with a Master of Arts in French and Russian (first-class honours, with distinctions in both spoken languages). Aimee, a former pupil of Miller Academy and Thurso High School, was also awarded the Miller Prize for the most outstanding graduating student in the faculty of arts. She is currently working as a freelance translator and will move to Leeds to begin an MA in Conference Interpreting and Translation this September. Aimee is the daughter of Zelda and George Linekar, of Burnett Place, Thurso.

Hanna Miedema graduated with a PhD at the University of Edinburgh for her study investigating the use of behavioural accelerometer and heart rate measurements to predict calving in dairy cows. Hanna, a former pupil of Halkirk Primary and Thurso High School, is currently working at the British Columbia University in Canada.

Laura Mennie graduated from the University of Abertay, Dundee, with a BA (Hons) in Media, Culture and Society. She is a former pupil of Mount Pleasant Primary and Thurso High School.

Niall William Murray graduated with a master's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (with distinction) from Heriot-Watt University. Niall, a former pupil of Thurso High, is the son of Lynne and George Murray, of Heathfield Road, Thurso. He is due to begin a four-year chartership with KBR, a firm based in Leatherhead, south of London.

Andrew Martin graduated from Heriot-Watt University with a Master of Arts in Applied Languages and Translating, with honours of the second class (upper division). Andrew is the youngest son of Lyn Martin, of Latheron, and is a former pupil of Queen Victoria School, Dunblane. Currently working in Edinburgh, Andrew intends to find employment abroad.

Gemma Miller graduated from Glasgow University with a master's degree in Carbon Management with distinction. Gemma, the daughter of Evelyn and Alan Miller, Castletown, attended Castletown Primary and Thurso High School. She is now working with the Forestry Commission in Edinburgh.

Dr Kimberley Masson graduated with a PhD in Social Anthropology from the University of Edinburgh. Her PhD thesis was on community life and identity in Caithness and she lived in Lybster from 2006 to 2008. Kim, from Forres, now lives in Edinburgh with her partner, Dr Angus Bancroft, originally of St Olaf Road, Thurso. She is currently a researcher at Durham University.

Linda Mutch graduated from the University of Stirling with a BSc (distinction) in Adult Nursing. Linda is the daughter of James and Margaret Mutch, Inverness, and granddaughter of the late Sandy and Bena Polson, Smerlie, Lybster.

Sarah Kay graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with a BA first-class honours degree in Nursing Studies. Sarah is the daughter of John and Gillian Kay, Achnamoine Farm, Watten.

Ian Munro graduated with an HND in Sports Coaching with Development in Sport from Edinburgh's Telford College. Ian is currently studying for a BSc in Sports and Exercise Science at Edinburgh's Napier University. Ian is a former pupil of Wick High School and is the son of Lorna and Ian, Sinclair Terrace, Wick.

Loreen Marouan graduated from The Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, with a Bachelor of Nursing in Mental Health. She currently works in Royal Cornhill Hospital and is the youngest daughter of Donald and Isobel Cameron, West Lodge, Mey.

Marc Miller graduated from Manchester University with a PhD in Organic Chemistry. Marc, a former pupil of Wick North Primary School, is the son of Colin and Marion Miller, Ellis Park, Conon Bridge. He is the grandson of John Bremner, Kinnaird Street, Wick, and Nessie Miller, Henrietta Court, Halkirk.

Annamarie Mauelshagen graduated from the University of Aberdeen with a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery with commendation. Anna's parents live in Greenland, Castletown, and she is a former pupil of Bower Primary School and Thurso High School

Eilidh Sinclair Mowat BSc (Hons), MSc, graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with a PhD for her thesis in Medical Microbiology. Eilidh is a former pupil of Castletown Primary and Thurso High School.

Gayle Matheson, of Berrydew Road, Aberdeen, graduated from the University of Aberdeen with an honours degree (2:1) in English Literature. Gayle is a former pupil of Pulteneytown Academy and Wick High School and is the daughter of Lorna Matheson, Papigoe, and Colin Matheson, of Nordwall Park, Reiss.

Eve Lamont graduated with a Bachelor of Adult Nursing from The Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen. Eve, a former pupil of Wick North Primary School and Wick High School, is the daughter of Shirley and the late David Lamont, of Wick.

James Miller graduated from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, with honours (2.1) in Mechanical Engineering. James is the youngest son of Maureen Miller and the late Norman Miller, of Wick. He is a former pupil of Wick North Primary School and Wick High School. In September, James will be studying at the University of Aberdeen for a masters in Subsea Engineering.

Mark Laurie Laird, of Clerkhill, Bettyhill, graduated with MEng (Chemical Engineering) from Strathclyde University. Mark, a former pupil of Farr High School and its primary department, is the only son of Sandra Laird.

Sarah Lamb, of Wellington Street, Wick, graduated from Heriot-Watt University with a (2:1) honours degree in Applied Marine Biology. Sarah attended South Primary School and Wick High School and is the daughter of Hamish and Linda Lamb.

Angela Millar graduated with BSc first-class honours degree in Physiotherapy from Salford University, Manchester. Angela also received the EMS Physio Ltd Shield for the student with the highest overall performance and the Directorate of Physiotherapy personal development prize for the student who demonstrated the best ability to manage their own learning through PDP. Angela is a former pupil of Pennyland Primary School and Thurso High School. She is the daughter of Hugh and Barbara Millar, who live in Thurso. Angela is currently living and working in Stockport.

Faye Murray, a former pupil of Pulteneytown Academy in Wick, graduated with a first-class honours degree in English from the University of Dundee. Faye is the youngest daughter of Robin and Joan Murray, of Tain.

Marianne Monteforte graduated from the University of Glasgow, being awarded the degree of BSc with first-class honours in Chemical Physics. Marianne, of Dunnet, is a former pupil of Wick North and Castletown primaries and of Thurso High School.

Rosemary Manson graduated from UWE Bristol with a 2:1 degree in sociology. Rosemary is the daughter of Graham and Moyra, Hampton Hill, Middlesex, and granddaughter of Austin and Mary Manson, Thurso.

Katherine Murray, eldest daughter of Richard Murray, and Roz and Colin Mackintosh, of Staxigoe, Wick, graduated from the Robert Gordon University BSc (Hons) in forensic science. Katherine is a former pupil of Hillhead Primary and Wick High School. She now lives and works in Aberdeen.

Aaron M. Mullins graduated from the University of Northampton with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology (first class). Aaron has gone to Coventry University to study for his PhD. He is a former pupil of Wick North and Wick High schools, and is the elder foster son of Wilma and the late Kenneth Tulloch.

Gemma Miller, daughter of Evelyn and Alan Miller, Castletown, has graduated from the University of Glasgow with a 2.1 honours degree in Zoology. A former pupil of Castletown Primary School and Thurso High, Gemma is going on to do a master's degree in Carbon Management at the University of Glasgow.

Deborah Mitchell graduated from the University of Aberdeen with an MA (Hons) degree in Anthropology. Deborah is the daughter of David and Trish Mitchell, Newton, Wick. She is a former pupil of Pulteneytown Academy and Wick High.

Steven Miller graduated from Napier University, Edinburgh, with a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) degree. Steven is the son of Joan and Angus Miller, of Miller's Terrace, Thurso.

Dr Jemma Munro graduated with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Dundee. She is the eldest daughter of James and Beryl Munro, formerly of Wick, and the granddaughter of the late James (Jimmy) and Elna Munro, of Dempster Street, Wick.

Kerri Larnach, of Nicolson Street, Wick, graduated with an HNC in Early Learning and Childcare from North Highland College, Thurso. Kerri is the daughter of Jacqueline and the late Ronnie Larnach, and granddaughter of Jessie and George Wilson, Cairndhuna Terrace, Wick.

Lorna Murdoch has graduated from Heriot-Watt University BSc (Hons) (2:1) in Sport and Exercise Science. Lorna, who attended Thurso High School, is the daughter of Bob and Fiona Murdoch, Thurso.

Jacqueline Kelly has graduated from the University of Stirling BA (Hons) in English Studies and Scottish Literature. She is to undertake her postgraduate teaching degree at Jordanhill. Her parents are Jim and Barbara Kelly, of College Court, Thurso.

David Kelly has graduated from Strathclyde University BEng (Hons) in Electrical Energy Systems. He completed his apprenticeship with Rolls-Royce Vulcan and has now returned to work there. His parents are Jim and Barbara Kelly, of College Court, Thurso.

Melodie May, the daughter of Valerie and Roger May, Wick, graduated from the University of Strathclyde with a BEd (Hons) (2:1) in Primary Education. Melodie is a former pupil of Hillhead Primary School and a former dux of Wick High. She has taken up a teaching post in Hillhead Primary.

Robin Murray graduated from the University of Dundee with an MA (Hons) (first-class) in English. Robin is the son of Rob and Joan Murray, formerly of Wick. He is a former pupil of Pulteneytown Academy.

Douglas More has graduated from the University of Dundee with a BSc (Hons) in Interactive Media Design. Douglas, the eldest son of Robert and Aileen More, Reiss, is a former pupil of Wick North Primary School and Wick High School.

Nicholas Montgomery graduated from the University of Dundee with a BSc (Hons) in Pharmacology. Nicholas, the son of Ruth and Henry Montgomery, is a former pupil of Hillhead Primary School and Wick High.

Greg Muir, the son of Keith and Rosemary Muir, of Houston Drive, Canisbay, graduated from the University of Glasgow with LLB (Hons) (2:1). Greg was educated at Canisbay Primary School and Wick High School.

Sinclair J.T. Manson graduated from the University of Glasgow with an MSc (Dist) in Information Technology. Sinclair, a former pupil of Miller Academy and Thurso High School, now lives in Glasgow.

Dianne Mitchell, Fochabers, graduated from Robert Gordon University with a BA in Specialist Cancer Nursing. Dianne, who attended Thurso High School, is the daughter of Jessie and Ian Ross, formerly of Thurso.

Kevin Minnock, Bilbster, graduated from Inverness College UHI following completion of a Chartered Institute of Building DMX course which is delivered at honours degree level. He was also awarded the Robert English prize for best student on the course. Kevin works for Morrison Construction, Inverness, and is currently project manager on the new Millburn Academy scheme.

Julie-Anne Mowat, daughter of Sheena Mowat, John O'Groats, graduated from the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, with a diploma in Adult Nursing. Julie-Anne works as a staff nurse in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

Melissa May, daughter of Valerie and Roger May, Wick, raduated from the University of Glasgow with an MSc (with Merit) in Information Technology. She also has a BSc (Hons) degree in Biochemical Science. Melissa is a former pupil of Hillhead Primary School and Wick High.

Lynne Murray, of Heathfield Road, Thurso, has graduated with an HNC in Social Care (incorporating SVQ at level 3) Childcare from Inverness College UHI.

Caroline Mowat, daughter of Jenny and Walter, and a former pupil of Thurso High School, graduated MSc in Lighting from the Bartlett School of Architecture in London. Caroline works as a lighting designer throughout the UK and Europe.

Lorna Maitland has graduated from Queen Margaret University College, Edinburgh, with a BSc (Hons) in Public Health Nutrition. Lorna is a former pupil of Miller Academy and Thurso High School.

Lynsey Miller, daughter of Donald and Kirsteen Miller, Ackergill, has graduated from Heriot-Watt University, Scottish Borders Campus, with a BSc (upper second-class honours) in Textiles and Fashion Design Management. Lynsey is a former pupil of Wick North Primary School and Wick High.

Alisdair Manson graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a BEng (Hons) in Electronic and Electrical Engineering. Alisdair is the eldest son of Sandy and Susan Manson,Willowbank, Wick. He attended Hillhead Primary School and Wick High and is joining the merchant navy in September.

David Mowat, John O’Groats, has graduated from Heriot-Watt University, with a master’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. David is a former pupil of Canisbay Primary School and Wick High.

Erin Manson has graduated from Heriot-Watt University with a BSc (Hons) (2/1) degree in Biological Sciences. Erin, a former pupil of Miller Academy and Thurso High School, is working with the Moredun Research Institute, Penicuik.

Gillian Laird, eldest daughter of Bob and May Laird, Keiss, and former pupil of Wick High School, graduated from Reading University with a PhD in Agricultural Botany.

David Miller, son of David and Morag Miller, Geise Farm, Thurso, and a former pupil of Thurso High School, graduated MA (first-class honours) in Mathematics from Aberdeen University. David was also awarded the Rennet Medal and Simpson Prize for Mathematics. He is returning to Aberdeen to study for a PhD degree.
