Nikki Lyall graduated from Edinburgh Napier University with a BSc in Sports and Exercise Science with Sports Injuries. Nikki, a former pupil of Golspie High, is the daughter of Brian and Cat Lyall, granddaughter of Herbie and Christine Lyall, of Stanstill, Bower, and Ian and Margaret Mackenzie, of Howe, Lyth.

Stephanie Kelly graduated from Strathclyde University with a joint honours degree in Bioscience with Teaching. Stephanie, a former pupil of Thurso High School, is the youngest daughter of Jim and Barbara Kelly.

Fiona Kennedy graduated from the University of Glasgow with a MSc (Hons) (2:1) in Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry. Fiona is the elder daughter of Alex and Margaret Kennedy, Linlithgow, and granddaughter of the late James and Joan Budge, Rockhill Farm, Wick. She is now employed with Reckitt Benckiser in Hull.

Aimee Linekar graduated from the University of St Andrews with a Master of Arts in French and Russian (first-class honours, with distinctions in both spoken languages). Aimee, a former pupil of Miller Academy and Thurso High School, was also awarded the Miller Prize for the most outstanding graduating student in the faculty of arts. She is currently working as a freelance translator and will move to Leeds to begin an MA in Conference Interpreting and Translation this September. Aimee is the daughter of Zelda and George Linekar, of Burnett Place, Thurso.

Hanna Miedema graduated with a PhD at the University of Edinburgh for her study investigating the use of behavioural accelerometer and heart rate measurements to predict calving in dairy cows. Hanna, a former pupil of Halkirk Primary and Thurso High School, is currently working at the British Columbia University in Canada.

Niall William Murray graduated with a master's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (with distinction) from Heriot-Watt University. Niall, a former pupil of Thurso High, is the son of Lynne and George Murray, of Heathfield Road, Thurso. He is due to begin a four-year chartership with KBR, a firm based in Leatherhead, south of London.

Andrew Martin graduated from Heriot-Watt University with a Master of Arts in Applied Languages and Translating, with honours of the second class (upper division). Andrew is the youngest son of Lyn Martin, of Latheron, and is a former pupil of Queen Victoria School, Dunblane. Currently working in Edinburgh, Andrew intends to find employment abroad.

Gemma Miller graduated from Glasgow University with a master's degree in Carbon Management with distinction. Gemma, the daughter of Evelyn and Alan Miller, Castletown, attended Castletown Primary and Thurso High School. She is now working with the Forestry Commission in Edinburgh.

Dr Kimberley Masson graduated with a PhD in Social Anthropology from the University of Edinburgh. Her PhD thesis was on community life and identity in Caithness and she lived in Lybster from 2006 to 2008. Kim, from Forres, now lives in Edinburgh with her partner, Dr Angus Bancroft, originally of St Olaf Road, Thurso. She is currently a researcher at Durham University.

Angela Millar graduated with BSc first-class honours degree in Physiotherapy from Salford University, Manchester. Angela also received the EMS Physio Ltd Shield for the student with the highest overall performance and the Directorate of Physiotherapy personal development prize for the student who demonstrated the best ability to manage their own learning through PDP. Angela is a former pupil of Pennyland Primary School and Thurso High School. She is the daughter of Hugh and Barbara Millar, who live in Thurso. Angela is currently living and working in Stockport.

Kevin Minnock, Bilbster, graduated from Inverness College UHI following completion of a Chartered Institute of Building DMX course which is delivered at honours degree level.
