Jacqueline Kelly has graduated from the University of Stirling BA (Hons) in English Studies and Scottish Literature. She is to undertake her postgraduate teaching degree at Jordanhill. Her parents are Jim and Barbara Kelly, of College Court, Thurso.

David Kelly has graduated from Strathclyde University BEng (Hons) in Electrical Energy Systems. He completed his apprenticeship with Rolls-Royce Vulcan and has now returned to work there. His parents are Jim and Barbara Kelly, of College Court, Thurso.

Melodie May, the daughter of Valerie and Roger May, Wick, graduated from the University of Strathclyde with a BEd (Hons) (2:1) in Primary Education. Melodie is a former pupil of Hillhead Primary School and a former dux of Wick High. She has taken up a teaching post in Hillhead Primary.

Robin Murray graduated from the University of Dundee with an MA (Hons) (first-class) in English. Robin is the son of Rob and Joan Murray, formerly of Wick. He is a former pupil of Pulteneytown Academy.

Douglas More has graduated from the University of Dundee with a BSc (Hons) in Interactive Media Design. Douglas, the eldest son of Robert and Aileen More, Reiss, is a former pupil of Wick North Primary School and Wick High School.

Nicholas Montgomery graduated from the University of Dundee with a BSc (Hons) in Pharmacology. Nicholas, the son of Ruth and Henry Montgomery, is a former pupil of Hillhead Primary School and Wick High.

Greg Muir, the son of Keith and Rosemary Muir, of Houston Drive, Canisbay, graduated from the University of Glasgow with LLB (Hons) (2:1). Greg was educated at Canisbay Primary School and Wick High School.

Sinclair J.T. Manson graduated from the University of Glasgow with an MSc (Dist) in Information Technology. Sinclair, a former pupil of Miller Academy and Thurso High School, now lives in Glasgow.

Dianne Mitchell, Fochabers, graduated from Robert Gordon University with a BA in Specialist Cancer Nursing. Dianne, who attended Thurso High School, is the daughter of Jessie and Ian Ross, formerly of Thurso.

Kevin Minnock, Bilbster, graduated from Inverness College UHI following completion of a Chartered Institute of Building DMX course which is delivered at honours degree level. He was also awarded the Robert English prize for best student on the course. Kevin works for Morrison Construction, Inverness, and is currently project manager on the new Millburn Academy scheme.

Julie-Anne Mowat, daughter of Sheena Mowat, John O'Groats, graduated from the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, with a diploma in Adult Nursing. Julie-Anne works as a staff nurse in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

Melissa May, daughter of Valerie and Roger May, Wick, raduated from the University of Glasgow with an MSc (with Merit) in Information Technology. She also has a BSc (Hons) degree in Biochemical Science. Melissa is a former pupil of Hillhead Primary School and Wick High.

Lynne Murray, of Heathfield Road, Thurso, has graduated with an HNC in Social Care (incorporating SVQ at level 3) Childcare from Inverness College UHI.

Caroline Mowat, daughter of Jenny and Walter, and a former pupil of Thurso High School, graduated MSc in Lighting from the Bartlett School of Architecture in London. Caroline works as a lighting designer throughout the UK and Europe.

Lorna Maitland has graduated from Queen Margaret University College, Edinburgh, with a BSc (Hons) in Public Health Nutrition. Lorna is a former pupil of Miller Academy and Thurso High School.

Lynsey Miller, daughter of Donald and Kirsteen Miller, Ackergill, has graduated from Heriot-Watt University, Scottish Borders Campus, with a BSc (upper second-class honours) in Textiles and Fashion Design Management. Lynsey is a former pupil of Wick North Primary School and Wick High.

Alisdair Manson graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a BEng (Hons) in Electronic and Electrical Engineering. Alisdair is the eldest son of Sandy and Susan Manson,Willowbank, Wick. He attended Hillhead Primary School and Wick High and is joining the merchant navy in September.

David Mowat, John O’Groats, has graduated from Heriot-Watt University, with a master’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. David is a former pupil of Canisbay Primary School and Wick High.

Erin Manson has graduated from Heriot-Watt University with a BSc (Hons) (2/1) degree in Biological Sciences. Erin, a former pupil of Miller Academy and Thurso High School, is working with the Moredun Research Institute, Penicuik.

Gillian Laird, eldest daughter of Bob and May Laird, Keiss, and former pupil of Wick High School, graduated from Reading University with a PhD in Agricultural Botany.

David Miller, son of David and Morag Miller, Geise Farm, Thurso, and a former pupil of Thurso High School, graduated MA (first-class honours) in Mathematics from Aberdeen University. David was also awarded the Rennet Medal and Simpson Prize for Mathematics. He is returning to Aberdeen to study for a PhD degree.
