Catherine Hilton, of Wattenon, Ulbster, graduated from the Robert Gordon University with an BSc honours degree in Diagnostic Radiography. Catherine, a former pupil of Lybster Primary and Wick High, is the daughter of Eddie and Anne Hilton, Ulbster. Catherine won the Donald Graham Award for outstanding achievement for her work across the four years of the course. She is now working at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London.

Jennifer Herrick, of Sinclair Street, Thurso, graduated from the University of Abertay, Dundee, with a BSc (Hons) in Forensic Psychobiology. Jennifer is the daughter of Andrew and Hilary Herrick. She is going on to study for a PhD in Psychology at Dundee University.

Carrie Marell Gunn, daughter of Gordie and Alison Gunn, "Horizons", Hillhead, Lybster, graduated with distinction from the University of Plymouth with a Master of Research in Marine Biology. Carrie is currently employed as a molecular biology research assistant with the University of Plymouth.

Lorna Jane Gunn graduated from the University of Aberdeen with a first-class honours degree in History. Lorna is the eldest daughter of Brenda and the late Hamish Gunn, Bolton House, Lybster, and granddaughter of the late Jean and Drewie Sinclair, Wick, and Hugh and the late Joey Gunn, Lybster.

Anna Hardyman graduated from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, with a Bachelor of Science honours degree in Physiotherapy (2:1). Anna is the elder daughter of Peter and Cynthia Hardyman, of Thurso, and is a former pupil of Miller Academy and Thurso High School.

Jennifer Georgeson graduated from The Robert Gordon University with a BA (Hons) in International Hospitality Management. Jennifer is the daughter of James and Ann Georgeson, Guidebest Farm, Latheron, and is a former pupil of Lybster Primary and Wick High School. Jennifer is soon to take up a position at the Dorchester Hotel, London.

Sandy Harrison graduated from the University of Edinburgh with an MA (Hons) (2:1) degree in English Literature. Sandy, the eldest son of Simon and Joan Harrison, Bilbster, is a former pupil of Pulteneytown Academy and Wick High School. He is the grandson of Josa and the late Keith Harrison and Ann and the late David Mackay.

Kevin Hughson, a former pupil of Hillhead Primary School and Wick High School, graduated from The Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) (2:1) in Computing for Internet and Multimedia. Kevin is the son of Bertie and Helen Hughson, Lindsay Place, Wick.

Laura Henderson graduated from Heriot-Watt University with a Master of Engineering and the Watt Club Medal. She is the eldest granddaughter of Sheila and Robbie Anderson, Staxigoe, and the eldest daughter of Susan and Kenny Henderson, Stonehaven. Laura is soon to take up a position as a process engineer with ExxonMobil in Aberdeen.

Debbie Henderson graduated from the University of Strathclyde with a PHD in Environmental Health. Debbie is the daughter of Esther and Duncan Henderson, Shetland, and the granddaughter of the late Elsie and Davie Anderson, Scarfskerry.

Kirsty Grant graduated from Glasgow University with joint honours in History and Politics. Kirsty, daughter of Iain and Jane Grant, Brilon Court, Thurso, is the granddaughter of Mary Grant and the late Dr Grant, formerly of Armadale, and Margaret Mackay and the late John Kenneth Mackay of Crask, Bettyhill.

Martha Henderson graduated from the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, with a BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography. She is currently working as a radiographer in the Western Isles Hospital, Stornoway. Martha is the daughter of David and Ellen, Ormlie Hill, Thurso. She is the granddaughter of Mary and the late Davie Henderson, and Bella and the late Willie-John Mackay, both of Skerray.

FIONA Henderson graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing – Child Health from Napier University. Fiona is working as a neonatal nurse at the Simpson Unit in Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. Fiona is the eldest daughter of Martin and Dorian Henderson, of Lyth.

Karen Mary Hibell graduated from Wolverhampton University with a BA (Hons) in Business Studies. She is presently lecturing in Veterinary Studies at Rodbaston College, Staffordshire. Karen is the granddaughter of Betty and Andrew Sinclair, of John Street, Wick.

Jennifer Jones, of Miller Place, Scrabster, has been awarded an MBChB from the University of Manchester. Jennifer attended Mount Pleasant Primary School, Thurso High School and the University of St Andrews. Dr Jones has taken up a post at Wishaw General Hospital.

Angela A. Johnstone, daughter of Robert Johnstone, Baron's Well, Wick, graduated with an HNC in Early Learning and Childcare from North Highland College UHI, Thurso, and continues to study for a BA. Angela attended Wick North Primary School and Wick High.

Gayle Jappy graduated from the North Highland College UHI BA in Child and Youth Studies. Gayle is now going on to do a PGDE in Primary Education through the University of Aberdeen. Gayle, the elder daughter of Linda and William Jappy, is a former pupil of Wick North Primary School and Wick High and currently lives and works in Wick.

Amanda Hutchison graduated from North Highland College UHI with an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care. Amanda, the wife of Darren Hutchison, works as a social care practitioner at the Laurandy Centre in Wick.

Ruth Inglis, youngest daughter of Robin and Gail Inglis, Skirza, Freswick, graduated BSc (Hons) in Innovative Product Design from the University of Dundee. Ruth is now a graduate trainee with Enterprise in Glasgow.

Carrie Marell Gunn, daughter of Gordie and Alison Gunn, Horizons, Hillhead, Lybster, graduated from the University of Glasgow BSc in Zoology (upper second-class honours). Carrie will shortly be continuing her studies for an MRes in Marine Biology at the University of Plymouth.

Katherine Graham graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University BSc (Hons) in Human Biology, Psychology and Sociology. Katherine, the daughter of Doug and Marilyn Graham, Portskerra, is a former pupil of Pennyland Primary School and Thurso High.

Jonathan Hymers graduated BSc (Hons) in Agriculture from the Scottish Agricultural College, Craibston, Aberdeen. A former pupil of Halkirk Primary School and Thurso High, he is the son of John and Barbara Hymers, Burnside, Calder.

Stuart Grant graduated from the University of Glasgow with a first-class honours degree in Politics. Stuart, of Brilon Court, Thurso, is a former pupil of Miller Academy and Thurso High.

Jan Frederick de Muijnck-Hughes, son of Brian and Liesan Hughes, a former pupil of Pennyland Primary School and Thurso High, graduated with a BSc (Hons) (2:1) in Internet Computer Science from the University of St Andrews. Presently he is working at the university preparing his honours dissertation for publication. In September he will begin a two-year research master's in Computer Security at the Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen in the Netherlands.

Garrey Hamilton, son of Iain and Irene Hamilton, Achvarasdal, Reay, graduated from Heriot-Watt University with a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science (2:1 honours). He is a former pupil of Reay Primary School and Thurso High School.

Elayne Greene, eldest daughter of George and Christine Harper, Thurso Road, Wick, graduated from Northumbria University with a master's degree in Medical Law. Elayne previously graduated in 2004 from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, with a BSc in Nursing Studies, and from Napier University in 2000 as a first-level registered nurse, having been an enrolled nurse for 25 years. Elayne is at present the nursing services manager at Spire Murrayfield Hospital, Edinburgh.

Kathleen Gulloch and her daughter Laura, of Castletown, graduated from the North Highland College UHI, both with a BA in Child and Youth Studies. Kathleen and Laura are currently at the University of Aberdeen studying for a postgraduate degree in Primary Education.

Fiona Gordon, daughter of Robbie and Mar Gordon, Bruan, graduated from the University of Stirling with a Diploma in Higher Education Nursing. Fiona is a former pupil of Lybster Primary School and Wick High.

Lorraine Geddes graduated from North Highland College UHI with a BA in Child and Youth Studies. Lorraine lives in Thurso with her husband, Graham, and two sons.

Brigitte Geddes, of Pulteneytown, graduated with a BSc (Honours) degree (upper second) in Environment and Heritage Studies (UHI MI) in Elgin. She was awarded an interdisciplinary BA (Honours) degree from the Open University in 1995.

Anne-Marie Gilroy, daughter of Allan and Bernadette Gilroy, Willowbank, Wick, has graduated from Napier University with a BA (Hons) (2:1) in Accounting. Anne-Marie has taken up a position with HSBC Edinburgh.

Erin Greene has graduated from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, with a BA in Retail Business (Hons) (first class). She is the granddaughter of George and Christine Harper, Thurso Road, Wick.

Kerri-Louise Greene has graduated from the University of St Andrews with a BSc in Human Biology (Hons) (2:1). She is now studying medicine at the University of St Andrews. Kerri-Louise is the granddaughter of George and Christine Harper, Thurso Road, Wick.

Julia Gibson, a former pupil of Halkirk Primary and Thurso High School, has graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Dietetics from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh.

Lynn Hardie has graduated from the University of Glasgow with a BSc (Hons) (2:1) in Physiology and Sports Science. Lynn, daughter of David and Janice Hardie, is a former pupil of Miller Academy and Thurso High School. She is now taking a year out to travel around Australia and is planning to embark on a postgraduate degree in Physiotherapy when she returns.

Michael Gunn, youngest son of Peter and Catherine Gunn, Beaufoy Street, Wick, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Marketing from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh.

Sandra Inrig, a former pupil of Miller Academy and Thurso High School, graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a BEd (first-class honours) in Primary Education. Sandra, the eldest daughter of Benny and Marion Inrig, will begin teaching at Pennyland Primary School, Thurso, this month.

Kirsty Cameron Hinds, daughter of Grahame and Catherine Hinds, of Queens Terrace, Thurso, has graduated from the University of Glasgow with a BSc (Hons) (2:1) in Mathematics. Kirsty is a former pupil of both Mount Pleasant and Pennyland primary schools and Thurso High. At present she is working with Student Volunteers Abroad helping to build a school in Nepal.

David Grant graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design at the University of Dundee with an honours degree in Illustration. David, the eldest son of Clark and Christine Grant, is a former pupil at Mount Pleasant Primary School and Thurso High.

Dawn Gordon, Overton, Mid-Clyth, graduated from the University of Paisley with a Bachelor of Education degree (second-class honours, upper division). Dawn, a former pupil of Lybster Primary School and Wick High, will begin teaching in Kirkhill Primary School, Broxburn, in August.

Jean Gunn graduated from the Open University with a BSc honours degree in Psychology. Jean, of Sibster Mains, Wick, received her award during a ceremony at Ely Cathedral, Cambridgeshire. She was accompanied to the graduation by her husband Steven Adamson, and parents Isobel and Harry Gunn of Reiss Lodge.

Kris Inkster graduated from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne with an MSc in Environmental Biogeochemistry. He also has a BSc degree in Geosciences. Kris now works with the Sirius Engineering Group based in Durham. Kris is a former pupil of Thrumster Primary School and Wick High. He is the son of John and Evelyn Inkster, of Thrumster.

Alexander Henry (Chester), of Wick, graduated from Inverness College UHI following a Chartered Institute of Building DMX course which is delivered at honours degree level. He also graduated on the same day with an HNC in Construction Management. He is a former pupil of Dunbeath Primary School and Wick High and is currently working in Aberdeen.

Harold C. Groat, of Roslyn Place, Brora, has graduated from Inverness College UHI with an HNC in Construction Management. He is a former pupil of Thrumster Primary School and Wick High. His mother lives in Watten.

Samuel Jappy, of Thurso, has graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a Master of Arts (Hons) degree in Social Anthropology

Sean Henstridge, a former pupil of Miller Academy and Thurso High School, graduated BEd (Hons) in Primary Education from Paisley University. Sean, from Barrock, is to become a probationary teacher at Lairg Primary School.

Debbie Gray, Thurso, graduated BSc (Hons) in Information Technology and Computing from the Open University. She now works at North Highland College UHI.
