PLAYERS from far and wide converged on Caithness recently for the annual Old Pulteney darts weekend.

 

Staged in the Francis Street Club in Wick, competition was keen in what has become a popular fixture in the North's darting calendar.


Cycle race CAITHNESS'S Allan Sutherland gained a fine third place in the Angie MacDonald 25-mile time trial, promoted by the Ross-shire Roads CC, at Kildary last weekend.

Wick's Jason Leask had a very good meeting and finished an excellent fourth overall. IT was a very cold start to Grampian Motorcycle Club's first motocross event of 2012 on Sunday, May 6, but by mid-morning the track at Woodside was bathed in sunshine and became distinctly warmer as the day progressed.
