Recipients of coaching under the Caithness and North Sutherland Junior Golf Partnership’s winter programme are pictured in Thurso Golf Club’s indoor training facility together with Peter McCarthy, Reay’s newly appointed junior convener, partnership chairman David Lyall and head coach Evan Sutherland. The programme, open to all the county’s clubs, is for two groups; older golfers seeking to improve their skills before the summer season and younger golfers from nine to 12 years old. The indoor facility has recently been fitted with new archery style baffle nets supplied by Hunter Promotions and is well worth a visit for those who want to hit a lot of shots without having to walk too far.
