THE Order of the Eastern Star Wick Chapter No 400 raised £600 for local charities when it organised a stall at last year’s County Show.
The cash has been split three ways, with £200 going to each of Caithness Deaf Care, Caithness Talking Newspapers and Rachel House in Kinross, which is run by the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland.
The presentation took place in Wick Lodge St Fergus. Worthy matron Moira Mackay said she was grateful for the generosity of the local people who helped the group raise the cash on the day.
