Wick has over half of derelict buildings in Caithness

WICK has one of the highest number of derelict buildings in the Highlands. 

The Building at Risk Register reported that out of 38 derelict buildings in Caithness, 22 are in Wick.

Prominent buildings in Breadalbane Crescent, Bridge Street, Burn Street, McArthur Place, River Street, Sinclair Terrace, South Quay, Telford Street and Union Street are all deemed at risk.

Out of the 16 buildings in Caithness which are on the register not in Wick, five are in Castletown and two in Lybster.

Other buildings are in Dunnet, Latheron, Halkirk, Reay, Staxigoe, Sibster, Stirkoke, Tannach and Watten.
