Vintage tractor drive challenge for charities

 

The challenge started on Thursday morning.

 

 

A TRACTOR driver will be attempting to make an epic 141- mile journey from Nairn to John O'Groats in a vintage vehicle to help raise money for three good causes.

Scottish Association of Young Farmers Clubs (SAYFC) north region vice-chairman Michael Gunn will attempt to make it from Nairnshire to John O'Groats as part of a 300-mile relay which started on Thursday morning..

The challenge will see one driver travel from Laurencekirk in Kincardineshire to Lumphanan in Aberdeenshire on Thursday before another driver travels from Lumphanan to Nairn on Friday.

Mr Gunn will then take over as a driver from Nairn to John O'Groats on Saturday before the relay continues on to Orkney on Sunday from St Margaret’s Hope to Kirkwall.

The event is raising money for SAYFC, Are Ewe Okay and MFR and Northsound Cash for Kids.
