Trio warned after caught speeding at primary schools

THREE drivers received warnings from police after being caught driving over 20 miles per hour past primary schools in Wick when pupils were walking to and from class.

Police Scotland carried out the checks at streets near Noss and Newton primaries.

The streets are designated as 20mph zones during times when children are walking to school and also heading home.

Police officers at the scene gave motorists reminders about the speed limit during certain periods of the school day at these areas.
