THE crew of Thurso RNLI lifeboat was paged on Sunday just before 11pm after concerns were reported about a dinghy.

The 10ft inflatable, with one person on board, left Scrabster harbour during the evening but did not return by dark sparking concern about its whereabouts.

The Taylors went to the Thurso river mouth area where it launched its Y-boat to carry out a search.

As the lifeboat was moving to search another area at 11.35pm the crew was stood down as the casualty had been located further up the River Thurso by a local coastguard team.
