THREE vehicles have been involved in a road traffic collision on the A9 on Monday afternoon.

The collision took place at Ramscraig, south of Dunbeath at 4:57pm.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service sent three fire crews from Dunbeath, Helmsdale and Wick and reported all people invovled in the collision are out of the vehicles.

A spokesman for Scottish Fire and Rescue reported two walking wounded casualties are receiving treatment from paramedics.

It has not been confirmed how many people were invovled in the collision.
