The scene at Saturday's crash near Reay where an Italian couple died.
AN Italian couple who died in a road crash near Reay on Saturday have been named.
Emanuele Nico (44) and his girlfriend, Liana Pinotti (45), from Gavirate, were killed when the motorbike they were riding was involved in a collision with a car.
It happened on the A836 Thurso to Reay road at Drumholistan at around 1.10pm.
The road was closed for seven hours while enquires and examinations were carried out by officers from Northern Constabulary’s road policing unit.
A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
