OVER 80 people armed with spoons turned up to sample around 25 delicious desserts at last Thursday’s Pudding Night, held in aid of the Keiss Family Community Project.
The fantastic turnout raised £564 for the project which aims to install a community park and sports facilities within the village.
Plans are now in hand to raise even more money for the project, with a coffee morning with children’s prize bingo being staged on October 15 in Keiss and a Tartan and Tiara Ball at the Norseman Hotel in Wick, with music by Jude, on October 28.
Tickets for the latter event will go on sale on September 15, and anyone wishing to pre-order a table can contact Vicky Mackay on sinclairbaycc@hotmail.co.uk
The Keiss Family Community Project is one of three being supported by the North of Scotland Newspapers Charity of the Year initiative.
The other two are the Thrumster Park Regeneration Fund, and a scheme by Thurso Youth FC to create new training pitches in the town for youngsters.
