Wick Academy manager Davie Kirkwood has left the club to take up the managerial post at Brora Rangers with immediate effect.
The news has yet to be confirmed by both clubs, but it is believed that Kirkwood will not be joining the squad for the trip to Turriff United on Saturday afternoon.
The news has come as a shock to players and fans as the former Rangers and Ross County coach will take over from Andy MacLeod at Dudgeon Park.
Wick Academy players have commented on Twitter regarding the move which was announced to them last night.
It is believed that assistant manager Richard Hughes will take charge of Wick Academy until a replacement has been appointed.
