A fire crew were called out to Lybster on Tuesday afternoon when two cars were reported to be on fire.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) received a phone call at 2.55pm that two abandoned cars were on fire in the village’s Hillhead Road.
One fire crew from Wick was dispatched to tackle the two outbreaks.
Firefighters using hosereel jets to extinguish the fires and the operation was complete at 3.33pm when the crew returned to Wick.
An SFRS spokeswoman said ambulances were not required at the scene.
She said: “Nobody was hurt due to the vehicles being on fire.”
