AS it's Easter this weekend, the tasters cracked open a few eggs.
I guess Thornton's Milk Chocolate Butterfly Egg 150g (£3 with two for £5 offer) is aimed at children with bright packaging and wafer thin egg which you only had to give a light press to crack.
The chocolate is suitably creamy and smooth, but somehow the taste was a bit flat and unsatisfying. Maybe because I was finding the price hard to swallow with the amount of chocolate that was actually in the packet.
I know at Easter you're expected to shell out for eggs, but this is not one I'd be particularly bothered about hunting out from the bunny's basket. More egg light than egg delight. 2½ out of 5 JB
Laura's Chocolate Eggs with Sugar Shell Milk Chocolate Bar, made by Laura's Chocolates in Kinross www.lauraschocolates.com (£3.50): This is the perfect Easter treat for chocoholics as the silky smooth Belgian milk chocolate will satisfy their taste buds and have them craving more.
The bar is easy to break into bite-size chunks and the mini sugar shelled chocolate eggs provide a nice crunchy texture. This chocoholic would happily just eat the bar on its own as it was heavenly. 5/5 AS
Basil, the baby duckling is a cute wee white chocolate Easter novelty with orange feet and a brown (not a good choice of colour!) nappy.
At £3.50 I think that granny shelled out a bit too much for this, even with the three for two offer at M&S.
Being white chocolate it's very sweet and I couldn't eat it all in one go. 3/5 CT
