I'VE decided to let you in on the secret of my favourite new product – it's Bradan is Gruth – smoked salmon and cream cheese made with Hebridean Smoked Salmon and Connage Highland Dairy's crowdie (£3.95).
The combination of the peat smoked salmon and cream cheese is truly a match made in heaven.
It's still very smokey, but the cheese lightens the texture and makes it easily spreadable.
I love it – and woe betide anyone who sneaks into the fridge and pinches any! It's really no surprise that it's been shortlisted in European Seafood Prix d'elite awards and Scotland Food and Drink excellence awards. 5/5 KA
