SIR – Caithness FM would like to thank everyone who supported our annual toy appeal.

We received a staggering amount of gifts this year which were distributed by the Wick social work department to those families in need.

We would especially like to thank the Dounreay Employees Charity Fund, Babcock International, Energy Solutions, NDSL, the staff at Rolls-Royce, Alba Consultants, J. Waters, decorators, Newsbeat, Temptations, the staff of T3, the staff of G. & A. Barnie, the programme office at Dounreay, the finance department at Dounreay and the Dounreay Fire Service for their very generous donations.

We also thank the staff of the Dounreay canteen, Vulcan main gate, Tesco Wick and Caithness Horizons for collecting toys.

We would also like to thank the social work department and G. & A. Barnie Building Service Ltd for their help with the distribution of the toys.

Last, but certainly not least, we would like to thank all our listeners and members of the public who made donations – we continue to be astounded at the generosity of the people of Caithness.

Thank you for your continued support; we are told that our donations really do make a difference.

Jackie Johnson,
